In 2021, the Netherlands will be evaluated by the FATF. During the audit it becomes clear where there is room for improvement. The FATF keeps an eye on whether the Netherlands is also implementing the improvements afterwards. In this way, the international financial system remains reliable. If a country does not comply with the agreements, it may face stricter checks on payment transactions. When auditing the Netherlands in 2021, the FATF also examines the results that the Netherlands has achieved, such as convictions, frozen credits and successful information meetings.
